Today we celebrate all of the women who protect our oceans — volunteers, activists, chapter leaders, legal experts, scientists, surfers, beachgoers, and so many more who contribute to the preservation and the protection of the place we call home — our ocean. Let's take a moment to reflect on some of the progress we've made recently.
Equal pay in surfing -

New Fish and Game Commissioner -
"Gov. Gavin Newsom announced the appointment Thursday of a San Diego County resident to the state’s Fish and Game Commission. Del Mar resident Samantha Murray, 42, has been executive director of the Master of Advanced Studies Program in Marine Biodiversity & Conservation at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography since 2017.
