Before we wrap up 2018 and take off in pursuit of waves, libations, friends and family - we'd like to share a few highlights from the past few weeks!
To begin, we released our State of the Beach report! The OC Register covered it: California coastal management gets high marks, still needs work to face rising sea-level threats.
Also noteworthy, the California Coastal Commission released a new app, called YourCoast. It shows all the beach access points in California. Download it! And visit your beach! It's your right. Here's some more information in Mercury News.
And finally, California Policy Manager Jennifer Savage, South OC Surfrider rock star Denise Denison-Erkeneff and California Policy Coordinator Mandy Sackett advocated for California's beaches (we want to keep them!) at the December California Coastal Commission meeting.
