Join us to learn more about the Surfrider Foundation’s Ocean Friendly Restaurants program and how you can get involved to help make a difference in your community! Surfrider is excited to announce updates to the nationwide Ocean Friendly Restaurant program, which recognizes restaurants that are committed to reducing single-use plastic and making sustainable choices for our ocean. Updates include new criteria and opportunities for restaurants to participate at no cost.
Chef Danielle Kuhn, owner of Maison Cafe + Market in Dana Point, will join Surfrider representatives to share best practices for restaurants and benefits of being part of the program. Surfrider HQ staff members Rachael Coccia and Jennifer Hart will give an overview of the Ocean Friendly Restaurants program and all of the recent updates to the program and the benefits to restaurants for participating. Chapter leaders from throughout Southern California will talk about how they are implementing the Ocean Friendly Restaurant program locally and highlight volunteer opportunities that are available.
All nine Surfrider chapters in Southern California are participating and they include San Diego County, South Orange County, Newport Beach, Huntington / Seal Beach, Long Beach, South Bay LA, Los Angeles, Ventura County and Santa Barbara County. Ride the wave of plastic reduction and sustainable restaurants with Surfrider!
